According to rumors in France, Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga is having a physical ahead of a potential transfer to Real Madrid.
Camavinga is considered one of Europe’s most promising young midfielders, and the 18-year-old has been connected with a number of Premier League teams, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
In this summer’s heated transfer battle, Paris Saint-Germain have also been vying for Camavinga’s signature, but the sought-after teenager seems to be on the verge of a move to the Bernabeu.
According to Canal Plus, the La Liga club has reached agreements with both Rennes and Camavinga’s camp, with just a few issues to iron out after the Frenchman’s physical.

Carlo Ancelotti has been looking to bolster his midfield after the permanent return of Martin Odegaard to Arsenal earlier this month, and the Spanish giants have agreed to pay approximately €28-30 million (£24-26 million) for Camavinga.
Camavinga joined Rennes’ youth when he was 11 years old and has made 87 appearances for the club since breaking into the main squad.
When he came in as a late replacement in Rennes’ 3-3 draw with Angers in April 2019, at the age of 16 years and four months, he became the club’s youngest ever player.
Didier Deschamps has characterized him as “a very young player with a lot of excellent talents and tremendous potential.” He has already been capped three times by the French national side.

Rennes manager Bruno Genesio made it plain to the media earlier this summer that the club would not stand in the way of Camavinga if a high-profile transfer became available that ‘everyone is happy with.’
‘We have repeatedly said that we cannot afford to stay in this position with an international player like him,’ he added.
‘It’s part of a career to have significant choices to make, and he has a very important one [decision] to make for his future, and we have our own interests to protect at the club.’
‘I hope we can come up with a solution that everyone is happy with.’

Manchester United had been connected with Camavinga in recent months, but with the arrivals of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Tom Heaton, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that the club’s transfer business was complete.
‘I don’t believe anything is going to happen,’ the Norwegian said when asked whether he anticipated any more additions before the transfer deadline.
Of course, if anything occurs, it’s a plus.
‘In the realm of football, you never know what will happen. Only about a week remains.
‘We’ve had a fantastic window. We’ve added two outstanding football players to our roster. Raphael is going to help us a lot, and Jadon is just going to grow better.

We are pleased with what we have accomplished, and we will continue to work in the field to improve as a team.
‘There is no question that we need to be in better condition. Many people have completed one and a half games. It’s not a lot. We’re building the groundwork right now, and then it’ll be a lengthy season.’
Rio Ferdinand assesses Raphael Varane’s debut and predicts who will take Manchester United’s penalty kicks this season.
Willian apologises for his unsatisfactory time at Arsenal as his exit is announced.
